Educational efforts in radiology reach out from many different organizations to provide much needed training and education across the globe. Yet, many of these resources go untapped because they are not well-known outside of the individual organizations providing them. The goal of the International Radiology Outreach Resources (IROR) web page is to integrate information about existing international educational and outreach efforts by the RSNA, ACR and subspecialty societies, as well as other medical and relief agencies throughout the globe. The site provides a brief description of the programs offered and the electronic link to obtain more detailed information. Heidi Patriquin International Fellowship for Education
The SPR Research and Education Foundation is calling for applications for the Heidi Patriquin International Fellowship for Education. In recognition of Dr. Patriquin's commitment to international education, this fellowship is designed to subsidize the expenses of one Pediatric Radiologist per year who: practices outside of North America, seeks to attend the SPR Annual Meeting for the purpose of education, and is in need of financial support to do so. One individual will be funded per year, subject to the availability of funds as determined by the Treasurer and Finance Committee of the Foundation and the SPR.
Application materials (personal statement and CV) must be submitted by November 1 to jboylan@acr.org of the year preceding the annual meeting. Applications may be mailed to:

CAN YOU HELP? GLOBAL ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT FOUNDATION
The Global Ultrasound Equipment Donation Foundation directed by Barry B. Goldberg, M.D., has received a donation of 50 Philips HDI5000 and 50 Siemens Acuson 128XP machines. Unfortunately, there are not enough ultrasound transducers to equip these machines for sending to needy centers in developing countries around the world. Often, RSNA members trade in machines and the transducers are left behind; therefore, Dr. Goldberg is requesting the RSNA members to see whether they have any transducers that fit the HDI5000 or Acuson 128XP machines for donation. Since this is a nonprofit foundation, a tax credit could be given. Please notify Dr. Goldberg via e-mail (barry.goldberg@jefferson.edu) or by phone (215-990-9003) if you wish to make a donation. The foundation will assume any shipping costs to our equipment warehouse.
