The RSNA launched an international e-mentoring pilot program, which began in the summer of 2007. The project is anticipated to last eight months, and its purpose is to establish a community of learners focused on developing knowledge and skills in evidence-based Radiology.
This program is a collaborative project between RSNA’s Committee on International Relations and Education (CIRE), the Radiology Residency Program at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya (AKU) and a North American Radiology educator with support of his/her University Radiology Department/Residency program.
The goals of this pilot program are:
- Assess the feasibility and effectiveness of creating a virtual community of learners through the establishment of an e-Mentoring program.
- Provide an international radiology program with expertise in developing and applying evidence-based practices in radiology through a mentoring process.
