With NIH grants being increasingly more difficult to obtain, researchers need alternative funding sources with higher paylines. RSNA funding works as a catalyst for investigators to provide initial studies needed to secure additional grants. For every dollar granted by the Foundation over nine additional dollars are obtained from other funding sources for subsequent research projects. That return on investment translates to more than $225 million in funding for radiologic research and education. The Foundation is truly the birthplace for tomorrow’s discoveries and a vital part of the pipeline from basic research to clinical practice. By supporting researchers at this critical stage, we can maintain leadership in medical imaging and credibility among medical professionals.
