RSNA will present two informative and comprehensive investment education seminars that will be held in McCormick Placeon Saturday, November 29, 2008, just prior to the RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting. These practical and unbiased courses will focus on providing you with the confidence and skills necessary to achieve your estate and investment goals and plan a sound financial future.

Morning Seminar:
Effective Estate Planning Strategies

Four 2-day sessions

  • Session I: September 19-20, 2008

  • Session III: February 6-7, 2009
  • Session IV: April 17-18, 2009

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) offers this grant writing course for faculty members of radiology, radiation oncology or nuclear medicine programs who have never been principal investigators on NIH or NSF-funded projects.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The purpose of the Advanced Course in Grant Writing is to assist participants in developing a good-quality grant application capable of being submitted to a government or private funding entity.

Upon completing the Advanced Course in Grant Writing, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the elements of a good grant proposal
  • Produce a good-quality study design, supported by a realistic and well-justified budget and a realistic timeline
  • Write a grant proposal for the intended audience, in compliance with grant instructions and demonstrating the mechanics and logic of good expository writing
  • Describe the components and psychology of the grant review process
